Gibson Dunn Adds Former SEC Corporation Finance Special Counsel in Washington, D.C.

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Courtney Haseley has joined the firm as of counsel in its Washington, D.C. office as a member of the Securities Regulation and Corporate Governance Practice Group. Haseley focuses her practice on securities regulatory issues and governance matters.

Before joining the firm, Haseley served at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for more than six years, most recently as Special Counsel in the Division of Corporation Finance’s Office of Chief Counsel, where she provided interpretive advice on a variety of matters under the Securities Act, Exchange Act, Trust Indenture Act, and associated rules and forms.  Prior to her work in the Office of Chief Counsel, Haseley was in the Office of Consumer Products and Office of Information Technologies and Services, where she worked on transactional and securities compliance matters relating to the Securities Act and Exchange Act, including IPO and business combination registration statements, proxy and information statements, and periodic and current reports.

Before joining the SEC, Haseley was a corporate associate in private practice for five years, advising clients on securities transactions, public offerings, private placements, mergers and acquisitions and governance matters.

Haseley received her law degree in 2004, with honors, from Emory University School of Law.
