The American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California recognized Los Angeles partners Marcellus McRae and Maurice Suh at its 19th Annual Law Luncheon to honor courageous attorneys and outstanding individuals who have taken a stand for civil liberties this past year. Marcellus and Maurice received the Community Service Pro Bono Award from the ACLU for their work as Deputy General Counsels on the Citizens’ Commission on Jail Violence, which investigated the use of force in Los Angeles County jails. The award was presented on May 31, 2013.
