Asian Legal Business has named AP Renewables’ $US225 million climate bond as Philippines Debt Finance Deal of the Year at its annual Philippines Law Awards. Gibson Dunn represented AP Renewables as issuer, in the first climate bond issued for a single project in an emerging market. The bond was issued in connection with the refinancing of the Tiwi-Makban geothermal plant. The Gibson Dunn team was led by Hong Kong partner Patricia Tan Openshaw.
