Best Lawyers in the United Arab Emirates 2016-17 has recognized five Dubai partners as leading lawyers in their respective practice areas: Richard Ernest – Banking Law, Finance Law, and Project Finance and Development Practice; Paul Harter – Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions Law, and Private Equity Law; Graham Lovett — Arbitration and Mediation, and Litigation; Mitri Najjar – Mergers and Acquisitions Law; and Hardeep Plahe – Corporate Law, and Mergers and Acquisitions Law. Additionally, Paul Harter and Graham Lovett were named "Lawyers of the Year" in Private Equity Law and Arbitration and Mediation respectively. The UAE list was announced on December 6, 2016.
