The Daily Journal named partners Ruth Fisher, Theodore J. Boutrous, Jr. and Jeffrey Thomas to its list of “Top 100 Lawyers in California.” The list “is a representative sample of the tremendous legal talent that California offers” and seeks to honor those lawyers whose work “is changing an industry or the law.” The Daily Journal honored Boutrous for matters that include defending Standard Fire before the U.S. Supreme Court in a case that prevents class action plaintiffs from evading the federal jurisdiction under the Class Action Fairness Act; Fisher was named to the list for her representation of Vivendi in a multi-billion deal with Activision Blizzard; and Thomas was honored for his defense of HP in a breach of contract suit against Oracle.
