Gibson Dunn was recognized by the Financial Times in its 2014 North America Most Innovative Lawyers report. The firm was included in the FT 40, a list featuring the most innovative North American law firms. The firm also was recognized as a “Standout” firm in the Most Innovative in Finance category and received the highest score of the firms ranked in the category. The firm received the recognition for its work representing Arcapita Bank in its chapter 11 restructuring plan – the first chapter 11 plan ever confirmed for a Shari’ah-compliant institution. For his representation of Arcapita and other entities in complex reorganizations, partner Michael Rosenthal was named a finalist in the 10 Most Innovative Individuals list.
