Former Magic Circle Finance Partner Joins Gibson Dunn in Dubai

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Richard Ernest has joined the firm’s Dubai office as a partner.  Previously a partner in the Abu Dhabi office of Clifford Chance, Ernest will continue his banking and finance practice.

About Richard Ernest

Ernest practices in the area of banking and finance, advising lenders and borrowers/investors on all aspects of finance transactions, as well as the financing of domestic and cross-border acquisitions and general corporate lending.  In addition to corporate finance, he is experienced in leveraged and structured finance, project and ECA-backed finance, acquisition finance, real estate finance, and restructurings and workouts.

Ernest has practiced with Clifford Chance since 1997, working in the firm’s London and Frankfurt offices.  He relocated to the Abu Dhabi office in January 2008 to help establish that office.  He speaks English, German, Spanish, Italian and Russian.
