Four Gibson Dunn Attorneys Named to The National Black Lawyers Top 100 Black Lawyers

New York partner Karin Portlock, Washington, D.C. partner Roscoe Jones, New York of counsel Brendan Stewart and Orange County associate Marcus Curtis have been named to The National Black Lawyers Top 100 Black Lawyers, a list of “influential lawyers who have a reputation for providing excellent legal representation and who are leaders in their respective practice areas.” The National Black Lawyers is “an organization dedicated to recognizing and highlighting African American legal excellence.” The selection was announced on July 6, 2023.

Karin Portlock is a former federal prosecutor with a broad-based government enforcement and investigations practice, ranging from government and internal corporate investigations to criminal defense and regulatory enforcement litigation through trial. She is a member of the White Collar Defense and Investigations, Litigation, Labor and Employment, and Crisis Management practice groups.

Roscoe Jones co-chairs the firm’s Public Policy Practice Group and serves as a core member of the Congressional Investigations Practice Group. As a leading government relations practitioner, he represents clients in legislative and policy matters before the U.S. Congress and Executive Branch.

Brendan Stewart is a member of the White Collar Defense and Investigations, FDA and Health Care, False Claims Act/Qui Tam Defense, and Litigation practice groups. As a former federal prosecutor, his practice focuses on health care enforcement, compliance, and litigation as well as other white collar enforcement matters and related litigation.

Marcus Curtis is a member of the firm’s Appellate and Constitutional Law practice group. He served as a law clerk to Judge J. Clifford Wallace of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and to Judge Cynthia A. Bashant of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.
