Gibson Dunn Adds Private Equity Partner Stephen Olson in Houston

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Stephen T. Olson has joined the firm’s Houston office as a partner and head of its private equity practice in Texas.  Olson, formerly a partner at Jones Day, will continue to focus on advising public and private companies on a broad range of corporate transactions.

About Stephen Olson

Olson’s practice is focused in the private equity sector across a broad range of industries.  He regularly advises clients on public and private acquisition and divestiture transactions, complex joint ventures, registered offerings and private placements of debt and equity securities, as well as corporate governance and other general corporate matters. His clients include private equity firms, private companies, mature public companies, and investment banking firms.

Before joining Gibson Dunn, Olson served as a partner at Jones Day, where he held various leadership roles throughout his career there including Partner in Charge of Houston and Head of Texas Region Transactional Practices.

Olson received his J.D. in 2006 from The University of Texas School of Law.  He received his B.B.A. from the University of Georgia.
