Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Kimberly Schlanger has joined the firm as a partner.  At Gibson Dunn, she will continue her national commercial real estate practice from the firm’s Houston office.

“We are very pleased to welcome Kim to the firm,” said Ken Doran, Chairman & Managing Partner of Gibson Dunn.  “Our real estate practice is one of the preeminent in the country, routinely handling some of the most sophisticated transactions in the market.  Our real estate group often works across offices to serve our clients.  While Kim will be based in Houston and will bring deep expertise in Texas law, she has the talent and experience to contribute to our national and global teams.  She will be a very strong addition to the group.”

“The Houston office’s client base has grown rapidly since its founding in 2017, and meaningful expansion continues to be a priority,” said Mike Darden, Partner in Charge of the Houston office.  “Kim is extremely well-regarded by clients and peers, and she will be a tremendous resource to our transactional practice in Texas, as well as be a key young member of the firmwide real estate practice.”

“I am excited to join Gibson Dunn,” Schlanger said.  “The firm has one of the most renowned real estate practices nationally, and I look forward to growing my practice on such an expansive platform.”
