Gibson Dunn Adds Tax Partner Edward S. Wei in New York

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Edward S. Wei has joined the firm as a partner in the New York office.  Wei, previously a partner with Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, joins as a member of Gibson Dunn’s Tax Practice Group.

Wei’s practice focuses on a wide range of U.S. and international tax matters, including private equity, mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, joint ventures, initial public offerings, bankruptcy restructurings and workouts, equity and debt financings, REITs and other real estate transactions and financial instruments.

Before joining Gibson Dunn, Wei practiced with Cadwalader and Cravath, Swaine & Moore.  He received his law degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School and has an LL.M. from the University of Cambridge (Jesus College).
