Gibson Dunn Appoints New Partner in Charge of the Denver Office

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP has appointed corporate partner Beau Stark as the Partner in Charge of the firm’s Denver office.  He replaces Richard Russo who has retired from the firm.

“We welcome Beau to his new leadership role for the Denver office,” said Ken Doran, Chairman and Managing Partner of Gibson Dunn.  “He has a strong corporate and energy practice and close ties to the community, including most recently serving as Chairman of the Board for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado.  He serves both clients and the Foundation with dedication and enthusiasm, and will bring both qualities to his new role.”

About Beau Stark

Stark is a partner in the firm’s Corporate Transactions Practice Group, where he advises public and private enterprises in the energy and mining space, the ski industry, and a range of other sectors, in both international and domestic markets.

He has broad experience in all aspects of corporate practice, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, public offerings, capital markets transactions, securities offerings, management participation and financing, tender offers, private fund formation and general corporate matters. 

In 2012, Chambers USA recognized Stark in the area of Corporate/M&A, and he is listed in Best Lawyers in America® 2013 for Corporate Governance and Securities Regulation.  He was also recognized as part of the 2007 BTI Client Services All-Star Team for Law Firms, and in 2006, he was named to the list of 30 most influential lawyers in global private equity by Private Equity International.

He graduated from the University of Colorado School Of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and was an Editor on the University of Colorado Law Review.
