Sovereign’s Medal of Merit of the Order of St John
Gibson Dunn has been awarded the Sovereign’s Medal of Merit of the Order of St John in recognition of the firm’s pro bono legal advice to the Order. The Sovereign’s Medal is the highest award that the Order can bestow on an institution and has been awarded only three times in the Order’s history. The Medal is accompanied by a diploma confirming the award and signed personally by HM Queen Elizabeth II. Accepting the award on behalf of Gibson Dunn from Lord Prior Professor Mark Compton, London partner Greg Campbell praised the humanitarian work of the Order across the world and in particular the key role that the Order has played in delivering Covid-19 vaccinations in the UK and elsewhere through its unparalleled volunteer network, including the St John’s Ambulance charity. The award was presented on February 23, 2022.
