The American Lawyer named Gibson Dunn a finalist in its biennial “Litigation Department of the Year” competition. In recognition of the firm’s “cascade of litigation triumphs,” the magazine commented that the firm “won seemingly unwinnable defense verdicts,” and “not content with just winning a case, Gibson Dunn likes to annihilate its opponents – and change the law along the way.” Gibson Dunn was also honored as a finalist in the antitrust competition, and Miguel Estrada was named a “Litigator of the Year.” The firm was featured in the magazine’s January 2014 issue.
