Partner Jesse Cripps was interviewed by the Daily Journal after being named to the publication’s highly exclusive list of Top Labor & Employment Lawyers. He said he was initially drawn to labor and employment law by “the people I met and connected with early in my career,” particularly mentors who “took me under their wing, helped me develop and gave me meaningful opportunities early on.”
He specifically pointed to an early case where a supervising partner gave him the chance to take his first deposition of a named plaintiff in an employment matter. “To this day, I view plaintiff depositions as one of the most significant events in an employment case because they can shape the factual record, the strategic direction of the case, settlement posture, and trial themes,” he said.
