Based in any of our US offices, the  Application Analyst/Programmer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining solutions that leverage the full capabilities of the Microsoft Office suite, including Office online, Office 365, Office 2019- 2021. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in application development, proficiency in Microsoft technologies, and a passion for creating innovative and efficient solutions.

This role reports to the Director, Business Intelligence.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop custom applications, add-ins, and solutions within the Microsoft Office Suite using technologies such as VBA, JavaScript, TypeScript, Office.js and Power Automate.
  • Leverage the capabilities of Office online and Office 365, with a focus on web-based solutions using Office.js.
  • Integrate Microsoft Office solutions with other business applications, databases, and third-party tools using Office.js.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Configuring, Testing, and supporting Microsoft Office 365 and Cloud applications.
  • Identify and resolve issues in Microsoft Office solutions, ensuring robustness, performance, and reliability, with a focus on Office.js functionalities.
  • Conduct thorough testing to validate the functionality and performance of developed solutions.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for developed solutions, including code documentation, user guides, and system architecture, with specific mention of Office.js integration.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments and updates in Microsoft Office Suite, Office online, and Office 365 technologies, including advancements in Office.js.
  • Proactively explore new features and functionalities to enhance existing solutions.
  • Troubleshooting and solving third level support calls escalated from Support Center.
  • Making recommendations for various application settings along with presenting innovative solutions for existing business challenges.

Qualifications

  • Must possess strong communication skills to engage with legal/administrative staff and IS team.
  • Ability to present a thorough analysis of issues, project planning, and able to provide regular updates.

Experience

  • A four-year college degree is preferred.
  • Prior experience in project management is a must.
  • Proven experience in developing Office and Windows solution using C#, .Net, COM, and Office JS
  • Knowledge of SQL, PowerShell, XML and creating a GUI form
  • Development experience in Office add-ins
  • Microsoft Office add-ins are written in C#, C++, or VB.Net
  • Office Online add-ins are written in JavaScript
  • Knowledge of PowerShell and scripting languages.
  • Development experience in Power Automate is a plus.
  • Good understanding of network communication protocols. Strong knowledge of the Windows Operating System, including Windows 11, Windows Server 2019-2022.
  • Experience supporting Client & Server-based applications. Must be able to diagnose problems via system and application logs.iOS and macOS knowledge are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $130-140k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
