Gibson Dunn is looking for an Applications Analyst/Programmer to join the Desktop and Applications Services team. The primary role of the Applications Analyst/Programmer is to support the Windows 10, Office 2019 & 365, and application automation along with other client/server application infrastructures.

This position is open to all U.S. office locations of Gibson Dunn.

The role reports to the Business Intelligence Director.

Responsibilities include:

  • Configuring, testing, and supporting Microsoft Office 365 and Cloud applications.
  • Developing Windows application, Office add-ins, and workflow using Power Automate.
  • Implementing Information Governance rules in Office and Windows environments.  Use IntApp Integrate Services to develop, implement, update & maintain rules between systems & MS Teams.
  • Troubleshooting and resolve security related issues.  Understand IntApp DB schema, other Intapp extensions.
  • Using project management principal to manage application upgrades.
  • Troubleshooting and solving third level support calls escalated from Support Center.
  • Making recommendations for various application settings along with presenting innovative solutions for existing business challenges.
  • Working with software vendors to test and evaluate new products.

Qualifications

  • The candidate must have strong prioritization and organization skills to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Must possess excellent critical thinking and problem solving ability.

Experience

  • A four-year college degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience supporting law firm applications.
  • Prior experience in project management is a must.
  • Experience in developing Office and Windows solution using C#, .Net, COM, and Office JS
  • Knowledge of SQL, Powershell, XML and creating a GUI form
  • Development experience in Office add-ins
    • Microsoft Office add-ins are written in C#, C++, or VB.Net
    • Office Online add-ins are written in JavaScript
  • Knowledge of PowerShell and scripting languages.
  • Development experience in Power Automate is a plus.
  • Good understanding of network communication protocols. Strong knowledge of the Windows Operating System (including Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 R2 – 2019).
  • Ability to present a thorough analysis of issues, project planning, and provide regular updates.
  • Experience supporting Client & Server-based applications. Must be able to diagnose problems via system and application logs.iOS and macOS knowledge is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual compensation range for this position is $130-140k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
