Based in Los Angeles, the Finance Analyst will be responsible for providing support to the Finance team.

This role reports to the Finance Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare, review and distribute monthly financial reports.
  • Compare monthly results with budget and prior periods and analyze fluctuations.
  • Provide financial summaries and analysis to executive management.
  • Develop financial models, including forecasting of revenue, expenses, working capital, etc.
  • Assist in preparing and monitoring the annual budget.
  • Communicate effectively with various departments and offices to provide key financial data as requested.
  • Prepare responses to external audit, covenant, and survey requests.
  • Identify and implement process improvements proactively.
  • Analyze and interpret data to make recommendations to management.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis independently.
  • Maintain a high degree of customer focus.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills are required to build and maintain effective relationships with senior management, attorneys and staff.
  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and well-organized.
  • Ability to have a strong customer focus, be responsive, work well under pressure and continually strive for efficiency and excellence.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem solving ability are also required.
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Should have the ability to view business issues in perspective, follow-up on projects/assignments and be able to prioritize and participate in multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to work with large volumes of data and possess advanced proficiency in Excel (i.e., formulas, macros, pivots, data manipulation).

Experience

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is required
  • 2+ years of related work experience is required, law firm experience is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and working knowledge of SQL and SAP/BPC are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $85,000 – $95,000. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
