Based in Los Angeles, the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Reporting Analyst is responsible for administering the firm’s statistical reporting needs as they relate to personnel data. The HRIS Reporting Analyst develops reporting methods, analyzes information, and designs professional and practical reports for Firm Management, Human Resources, Marketing, Finance and other firm departments as well as for clients and outside publications.

This role reports to the Senior HRIS Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing timely and accurate ad hoc reports from Oracle PeopleSoft using advanced query techniques and other database reporting tools.
  • Providing meaningful data analysis and identification of trends in key personnel data.
  • Evaluating current data processes to identify potential areas for improvement or implementation of new functionality.
  • Maintaining, troubleshooting and ensuring data integrity of all HR systems by conducting routine audits and working with end-users to address any issues or data discrepancies.
  • Tracking and analyzing human capital metrics relating to headcount, turnover, diversity, benefits, payroll, recruitment, timekeeping, professional development, performance management and other personnel related activities.
  • Devising suitable and effective strategies for tracking and managing all requests.
  • Back-up support to other Human Resources personnel as needed including Attorney Review process, as well as other tasks as may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Functional understanding of Human Resources practices within a professional services organization.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office 2010 (or above) including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint and Visio.
  • Experience with Tableau or Microsoft Power BI or any SQL knowledge is highly desired
  • A solid mathematical, statistical or reporting background is also a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality of work while functioning within deadlines of a fast-paced work environment is essential.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively and courteously with all levels of lawyers, management and staff, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent administrative, time management, critical thinking, and problem solving skills required.
  • Able to handle highly sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent relevant work experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 – 4 years of Human Resources reporting experience within a professional organization is desired.
  • An equivalent combination of academic and professional experience will also be considered.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft 9 (or above), SilkRoad RedCarpet, viDesktop, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft SQL Server, XML Publisher, HTML and/or other HRMS or database reporting tools is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $93-102k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
