Ms. Banks is actively engaged in the Firm’s pro bono matters, representing clients on a variety of matters, such as asylum applications, death penalty appeals, and supporting survivors of domestic violence in their attempt to gain protective orders.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Ms. Banks served as a member of the litigation team that represented Volkswagen AG and AUDI AG in its civil litigation and government investigations relating to the “clean diesel” matters.

Ms. Banks earned her Juris Doctor in 2022 from Harvard Law School, where she was awarded the William J. Stuntz Memorial Award for Justice, Human Dignity, and Compassion.  While at Harvard, Ms. Banks served as a Chair of both the Harvard Black Law Student’s Association and the Women’s Law Association, line editor for the International Law Journal, and a teaching fellow for Civil Procedure.  Ms. Banks also has a student note published in the Harvard Journal for Law & Gender, entitled “The (De)valuation of Black Women’s Bodies.” In 2017, Ms. Banks earned her B.A. in History and Sociology, with a German language minor, from Emory University.
