Justin duRivage

Associate Attorney

Justin du Rivage is an associate in the Palo Alto office of Gibson Dunn and a member of the firm’s Litigation Department. His practice focuses on international trade and national security-related matters, including economic sanctions, export controls, and government investigations.

Justin counsels companies in the technology, financial services, and advanced manufacturing sectors regarding sanctions and export controls, including those related to artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies. His experience includes advising on regulatory expectations, licensing requirements, and the development of compliance programs, as well as assisting clients in connection with regulatory inquiries and enforcement matters.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Justin worked on behalf of corporate compliance monitors and advised financial institutions in EMEA and Asia on international sanctions compliance.

Justin received his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 2023, where he served as Senior Executive Editor of the Harvard International Law Journal. He holds a Ph.D. in American history from Yale University. Justin is admitted to practice law in the State of California.
