Julia Sweitzer is an associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where she currently practices in the firm’s Finance Practice Group. Julia’s practice includes representing direct lenders, institutional lenders, corporate borrowers, private equity sponsors, and portfolio companies in a variety of financing transactions, including leveraged-acquisition financings, first and second lien financings, asset-based financings, cross-border deals, and other secured and unsecured commercial financings.
Julia received her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in 2021. In law school, Julia worked as a student attorney at the Georgetown Social Enterprise and Nonprofit Law Clinic, served as executive editor of the Georgetown Environmental Law Review and was an elected member of the Student Bar Association. Prior to law school, Julia worked as a City Hall Fellow at the City and County of San Francisco and as an Avodah Corp Member at the Southern Poverty Law Center in New Orleans. Julia gradated summa cum laude from the University of California, Davis where she double majored in Human Development and Psychology.
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Julia was a finance associate at another major global law firm. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
