BIOGRAPHY

Jan Vollkammer is an associate in the Frankfurt office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He is a member of the firm‘s Antitrust and Competition and the Litigation Groups.

Jan focuses his practice on European and German antitrust and competition law. He advises clients on merger control, cartel investigations and related cartel damage claims, compliance programs, antitrust related distribution and abuse of dominance matters.

In addition, he also advises clients on foreign investment notifications in Germany.

Jan studied law at the University of Mainz, Germany, and passed his first state exam in 2015. He obtained his Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in International and European Business Law with distinction from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, in 2016. Jan worked as a research assistant for Professor Dreher (University of Mainz) and was a summer associate with an antitrust boutique law firm in Chicago, IL, USA. He has been admitted as a German lawyer (Rechtsanwalt) since 2019.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Jan was an associate in the antitrust and litigation group in the Frankfurt office of a renowned US law firm.

In addition to his native German, he is fluent in English.
