Chuck Walker is a partner in the Houston office of Gibson Dunn. He regularly counsels publicly traded and emerging growth technology companies in complex mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, equity investments, recapitalizations, restructurings, executive compensation and equity incentive arrangements, and related general corporate matters.
He has handled matters for clients ranging from acquisitions in excess of a billion dollars to growth equity investments in emerging companies. Representative clients include a leading e-commerce retailer and one of the top U.S. semi-conductor equipment manufacturers. Chuck also represents multiple public and private companies in the cloud computing, cybersecurity and wireless technology sectors.
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Chuck was a partner at Orrick and was also previously a member of DLA Piper's Silicon Valley corporate practice. Chuck began his legal career as an associate in the private equity group in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis.
He received his law degree from Harvard Law School in 2008 and earned his B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, Highest Honors – Bronze Tablet, in 2004.
