Century City partner Ruth Fisher and San Francisco partner Mary Murphy were named the best lawyers in their respective practice areas at Euromoney Legal Media Group’s fifth annual Americas Women in Business Law Awards. Fisher received the “Best in Media & Entertainment” award, while Murphy earned the “Best in Real Estate” award. Additionally, five lawyers were shortlisted in their categories: New York partner Barbara Becker for Mergers & Acquisitions, Los Angeles partners Catherine Conway for Labor & Employment and Amy Forbes for Real Estate, and as Rising Stars, Century City partner Candice Choh for Corporate and Washington, D.C. partner Cynthia Richman for Litigation. Awards were determined by senior editorial staff at Euromoney Legal Media Group following an extensive research process. The winners were honored at an awards ceremony on June 9, 2016.
