The Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA) Awards Global Advocacy Prize to Gibson Dunn Partner Rahim Moloo

February 6, 2024

The Swiss Arbitration Association awarded New York partner Rahim Moloo the 2024 ASA Prize for Advocacy in International Commercial Arbitration, which recognizes “outstanding advocacy in international commercial arbitration.”

With the objective of promoting the effective resolution of international commercial disputes through arbitration, ASA offers a prize at regular intervals for counsel who, through their exceptional talents in advocacy, contribute most effectively to this objective. As an organization with a wide-ranging international membership, including arbitrators, counsel, and users with extensive international arbitration practice, ASA sees itself as ideally placed to contribute to this objective by identifying and publicizing good examples of advocacy in international arbitration.

One award is given every two years, and Rahim was named as the most recent laureate during the Swiss Arbitration Summit 2024 on February 1, 2024.

Rahim Moloo is Co-Chair of Gibson Dunn’s International Arbitration Group. His practice focuses on assisting clients to resolve their most complex disputes, and he regularly appears as lead counsel before international tribunals and courts around the world. His experience spans a number of industries, including energy, mining, telecommunications, financial services, infrastructure, construction, consumer products and entertainment.  Many of the disputes involve claims brought in multiple jurisdictions where important strategic choices must be made about which forum will provide the best result with respect to different aspects of the dispute, and Rahim has experience in navigating these various options.
