As the Supreme Court continues its 2016 Term, Gibson Dunn's Supreme Court Round-Up is summarizing the issues presented in the cases on the Court's docket and the opinions in the cases the Court has already decided. The Court has accepted 64 cases for argument this Term, and has heard arguments in 46 cases. Gibson Dunn has presented one oral argument this Term and has one more argument next month, in addition to being involved in 11 cases as counsel for amici curiae.

Spearheaded by former Solicitor General Theodore B. Olson, the Supreme Court Round-Up keeps clients apprised of the Court's most recent actions. The Round-Up previews cases scheduled for argument, tracks the actions of the Office of the Solicitor General, and recaps recent opinions. The Round-Up provides a concise, substantive analysis of the Court's actions. Its easy-to-use format allows the reader to identify what is on the Court's docket at any given time, and to see what issues the Court will be taking up next. The Round-Up is the ideal resource for busy practitioners seeking an in-depth, timely, and objective report on the Court's actions.

Gibson Dunn's Appellate and Constitutional Law Practice Group is one of the nation's leading appellate practices.  The preeminence of the group is underscored by its placement on The National Law Journal's 2016 Appellate Hot List, which recognized 20 firms that "delivered − winning big in federal and state appeals courts across the country" − while "represent[ing] some of the most well-known companies in the land."  Benchmark Litigation in 2017 recognized Gibson Dunn as the Appellate Firm of the Year, and Law360 named Gibson Dunn a 2016 Appellate Practice Group of the Year.  In addition, U.S. News - Best Lawyers® "Best Law Firms" recognized Gibson Dunn as the 2016 Law Firm of the Year for its Appellate Practice.  Acclaimed as a litigation powerhouse, Gibson Dunn also was named The American Lawyer's 2016 Litigation Department of the Year, our unprecedented third win in this biennial competition since 2010.  The publication noted, "Gibson Dunn litigators set out to win big rather than just escape defeat, and they succeeded. . . . [T]he firm repeatedly delivered when it mattered most."

Gibson Dunn has a longstanding, high-profile presence before the Supreme Court of the United States, appearing numerous times in the past decade in a variety of cases. During the Supreme Court's five most recent Terms, eight different Gibson Dunn partners have presented oral argument; the firm has argued a total of 17 cases in the Supreme Court during that period, including closely watched cases with far-reaching significance in the class action, intellectual property, separation of powers, and First Amendment fields. Moreover, while the grant rate for certiorari petitions is below 1%, Gibson Dunn's certiorari petitions have captured the Court's attention: Gibson Dunn has persuaded the Court to grant 18 certiorari petitions since 2006.
