Theodore J. Boutrous Jr. to Receive Distinguished Leadership Award From PEN America

PEN America announced that Los Angeles partner Theodore J. Boutrous Jr. will be presented with its Distinguished Leadership Award in recognition of “his exceptional work handling high-profile litigation, media relations, and media legal issues, particularly his recent representation of Jim Acosta, CNN chief White House correspondent, and Brian Karem, Playboy White House correspondent.” The award will be presented at PEN America’s 2019 LitFest Gala on November 1, 2019.

Theodore J. Boutrous Jr. is Co-Chair of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. As both a crisis management strategist and a seasoned appellate and media lawyer, he has extensive experience handling high-profile litigation, media relations and media legal issues.  He routinely advises clients in planning how to respond, and in responding, to crises and other especially significant legal problems that attract the media spotlight.
