Based in any U.S. office, the Legal Technology Training Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the firm’s attorneys by coordinating and delivering training on advanced legal research platforms and emerging artificial intelligence tools, including Harvey, CoPilot, ChatGPT, and related technologies. This role ensures attorneys and staff are proficient in leveraging both traditional legal research databases and cutting-edge AI solutions to deliver efficient, high-quality client service. The Legal Technology Training Coordinator will act as a bridge between attorneys, knowledge services, legal research service, professional development, and technology teams to promote adoption, awareness, and effective use of these tools.

This role reports to the Practice Innovation Attorney.

Responsibilities include:

  • Training Program Development: Design, coordinate, and deliver live and virtual training sessions on AI tools (Harvey, CoPilot, ChatGPT, etc.) and legal research platforms (such as Westlaw, Lexis+, Bloomberg Law, Vital Law, etc.).
  • Collaboration: Partner with practice groups, Knowledge Management, Professional Development, research services, and IT to ensure training aligns with attorney workflows and client service needs.
  • Resource Expertise: Serve as a subject matter resource for attorneys on best practices, updates, and emerging trends in AI and legal research technologies.
  • Adoption & Engagement: Develop strategies to increase attorney engagement with AI-powered and subscription-based research tools, including tailored practice-area training.
  • Internal Communications: Assist in developing internal communications and messaging to announce AI initiatives, training opportunities, and technology updates across the firm.
  • Training Materials: Create user guides, quick reference sheets, video tutorials, and FAQs to support self-service learning.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Monitor training attendance, adoption rates, and user feedback; prepare reports and recommendations for leadership.
  • Vendor Liaison: Work closely with legal research and AI vendors to schedule demonstrations, pilot programs, and updates for attorneys.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current on innovations in legal technology, AI applications, and competitive intelligence tools to incorporate into training curricula.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of legal research tools (Westlaw, Lexis+, Bloomberg Law, Vital Law, etc.).
  • Familiarity with emerging legal AI tools (e.g., Harvey, CoPilot, ChatGPT) and interest in driving innovation adoption.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience delivering training to attorneys or other professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives across offices.
  • Proficiency in developing user-friendly training materials and using e-learning platforms.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Library & Information Science (MLIS), JD, or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in legal research, professional development, knowledge management, or technology training within a law firm or professional services environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $80-110k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
