Katie D. Baranek is an associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She currently practices with Gibson Dunn’s Real Estate Practice Group.

Katie represents clients in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, construction and real estate finance, real estate development and leasing, and loan workouts and restructuring. Her experience includes single and multi-property transactions with a wide variety of real estate assets, including office parks and buildings, hotels, shopping centers, industrial/distribution facilities and multi-family apartment complexes.

In 2023, she was recognized as a Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America™ in Real Estate Law.

Katie earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, in 2014 from William and Mary Law School, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and received the PELE Special Education Advocacy Award for excellence in special education advocacy. While attending William and Mary, she was a Graduate Research Fellow and served as a teaching assistant for Property and Civil Procedure. Katie attended Villanova University where she received her Master of Arts in Criminal Justice in 2008 and her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in Criminal Justice and Political Science in 2007.

She is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
