Jeffrey A. Chapman is Co-Chair of Gibson Dunn’s Global Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He maintains an active M&A practice representing private equity firms and public and private companies in diverse cross-border and domestic transactions in a broad range of industries.
Mr. Chapman is consistently regarded as one of the top M&A lawyers in the country. Mr. Chapman received his law degree cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1983. In 2014, Mr. Chapman returned to Cambridge as the Harvard Law School Traphagen Distinguished Alumni Speaker.
Mr. Chapman holds a degree in economics from the University of Iowa, where he graduated with highest distinction in 1979. Iowa selected Mr. Chapman as the recipient of its 2020 Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award.
