Amir Heidari is an associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he currently practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.
Among his matters, Amir represents UBS AG, one of the world’s largest financial institutions, in numerous federal class-action and individual lawsuits involving the alleged manipulation of LIBOR and other interest rate benchmarks. He also represents Vale S.A., one of the world’s largest iron ore mining company, in putative securities class actions and opt-out securities actions filed in the wake of catastrophic mining accidents in Brazil. Amir also has experience representing founders, companies, and senior executives in corporate disputes in New York and Delaware, as well as representing companies and individuals during high-stakes investigations by various regulators such as the United States Department of Justice, U.S. Attorneys Offices, and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
He received his Juris Doctor in 2022 from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and served as a Teaching Assistant for Property and Corporations. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
Amir is admitted to practice in the State of New York and before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
