Lara Kakish is an associate in the Dallas office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.
Ms. Kakish has representative experience in a wide variety of complex litigation matters. Those matters include obtaining a directed verdict on behalf of a private telecommunications company in a bench trial concerning a statutory issue of first impression, achieving a complete defense verdict on behalf of an energy company in a jury trial concerning numerous tort claims, and attaining advantageous rulings on behalf of a mortgage lending company in a complex privilege dispute at the trial court level and on mandamus.
Ms. Kakish received her Juris Doctorate with honors in 2019 from Southern Methodist University, where she served as the Associate Managing Editor for the SMU Law Review, the Vice President of the Student Bar Association, and as a Teaching Assistant for the law school’s legal research and writing program. Ms. Kakish received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin in 2015.
Ms. Kakish is a member of the State Bar of Texas. She is also admitted to practice before the Northern District of Texas.
