Rachel I. Katzin

Associate Attorney

Rachel Katzin is an associate in Gibson Dunn's New York office.  She practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.  Rachel’s practice focuses on complex commercial disputes, bankruptcy-related litigation, financial institutions, and contract disputes.  Rachel has represented a diverse range of clients in all phases of litigation before federal and state courts across the country. 

In addition to her litigation expertise, Rachel represents clients, including financial institutions and insurers, in state and FINRA arbitrations.  Rachel also has experience representing clients in investigations and enforcement actions, including by the DOJ, SEC, OCC, and FINRA. 

Rachel maintains an active pro bono practice and has worked on a diverse range of pro bono matters.

Rachel received her Juris Doctor in 2022 from The University of Chicago Law School, where she served as Comments Editor on the Chicago Journal of International Law and as a judicial extern to the Honorable Judge John F. Kness of the Northern District of Illinois. Rachel graduated with Honors from Washington University in St. Louis in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.

Rachel is admitted to practice in both the State of Florida and New York, as well as in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
