BIOGRAPHY

Branden A. Lau is an associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.  He currently practices in the Firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Equity Practice Groups.

Mr. Lau represents both strategic companies and private equity clients (including their portfolio companies) in connection with all aspects of their domestic and cross-border M&A activities, including mergers, acquisitions, asset purchases, joint ventures, and equity and debt financings.

Mr. Lau earned his Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law in 2020, where he was Managing Editor of the New York University Law Review.  While in law school, Mr. Lau served as a civil litigation intern with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and as a judicial intern to the Honorable Valerie E. Caproni of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Mr. Lau graduated magna cum laude from La Sierra University with a dual-degree Bachelor of Science in Finance and Business and Society in 2017.

Mr. Lau is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
