Tukeni Obasi is an associate in the Dallas office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She is a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions, Private Equity and Emerging Companies Practice Groups.
Her practice focuses on corporate and securities transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, corporate governance, emerging companies, and public and private capital markets transactions.
Tukeni received her Juris Doctor in 2018 from Columbia Law School, where she was a James Kent Scholar, a certified mediator at the Columbia Law School Mediation Clinic and the New York Peace Institute, a Public Education Fellow at the Center for Public Research and Leadership, a Richard Richman Leadership Fellow, and a recipient of the Lawyering for Change, Best in Class Award. Tukeni graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in political science, Harvard Kennedy School of Government with a Master’s in Public Administration, and the Quantic School of Business and Technology with a Master’s in Business Administration.
Prior to law school, Tukeni was a business analyst at a Nigerian agricultural impact investment firm and a social services worker at a Canadian halfway house for women.
She is admitted to practice in the State of Texas.
