Pilar Pérez-D’Ocon is a Spanish qualified lawyer, based in the Brussels office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher where she is a member of the firm’s Antitrust and Competition Practice Groups.
Pilar specialises in EU Competition Law and Regulatory. Her practice encompasses all areas of competition law, with a strong focus on State aid. She also has sectoral regulatory experience in the energy/environmental sectors (including renewables, gas and electricity production and transmission).
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Pilar trained and practiced at the Brussels office of a major Italian firm. She has also completed internships in the European Commission (Blue-Book at DG Competition), and at the Spanish Competition Authority (Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia, CNMC).
Pilar graduated from the University of Oviedo (Principado de Asturias) in 2014 and received a Master of Laws degree from the University Carlos III of Madrid in 2016. She is currently pursuing her PhD studies at the University of Oviedo.
Pilar is a native Spanish speaker and is also fluent in English.
