The Practitioner’s Guide to Global Investigations – Eleventh Edition
Client Alert | November 5, 2026
Gibson Dunn announces publication of the Eleventh Edition of The Practitioner’s Guide to Global Investigations Review.
Gibson Dunn is pleased to announce that Global Investigations Review has published the Eleventh Edition of The Practitioner’s Guide to Global Investigations, a practical guide for external and in-house counsel, compliance professionals, and other practitioners navigating corporate investigations in the United States, the United Kingdom, and around the world.
Gibson Dunn partners Stephanie L. Brooker, Matthew S. Axelrod, and David C. Ware, of counsel Abby Dugan, and associate Allison Frison co-authored the chapter “Self-reporting to the authorities and other disclosure obligations: the US perspective.”
The chapter examines mandatory disclosure obligations in the United States and the benefits and risks of voluntary self-disclosure. It addresses DOJ’s March 2026 Corporate Enforcement and Voluntary Self-Disclosure Policy—the first Department-wide framework for evaluating self-disclosure, cooperation, and remediation in criminal matters—and the first declinations under that policy. It also surveys self-disclosure and cooperation programs at the SEC, CFTC, BIS, and OFAC; whistleblower and individual self-disclosure programs; the risks of not self-reporting; and considerations for briefing the board.
