Who’s Who Legal 2022 Recognizes Gibson Dunn Partners in Thought Leaders – Mainland China & Hong Kong SAR

Three Hong Kong-based Gibson Dunn partners were featured by Who’s Who Legal in its Thought Leaders – Mainland China & Hong Kong SAR 2022 guide: Kelly Austin was recognized in Business Crime Defence; John Fadely was recognized in Private Funds; and Brian Gilchrist was recognized in Commercial Litigation.  The publication features individuals for their expertise and experience advising on significant and cutting-edge matters, and for their ability to innovate and inspire.  The list was published in August 2022.

Kelly Austin’s practice focuses on investigations, regulatory compliance and international disputes.  She has extensive expertise in government and corporate internal investigations, including those involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other anti-corruption laws, and anti-money laundering, securities, and trade control laws. She also regularly guides companies on creating and implementing effective compliance programs.

John Fadely focuses on advising Asia-based private fund sponsors on the formation of private investment funds, including buyout funds, growth capital funds, venture capital funds and real estate funds, as well as on secondaries transactions, co-investment transactions, founders’ agreements, carried interest plans, and regulatory and other operational issues.  He has advised well-established and first-time fund sponsors on the establishment and structuring of funds platforms and is experienced in forming funds investing throughout Asian markets.

Brian Gilchrist practices dispute resolution, with a focus on commercial litigation involving matters concerning banking, insurance, tax, employment, contentious probate, directors’ duties and minority shareholders’ rights. He is also an experienced advisor on regulatory matters and has handled both domestic and multijurisdictional arbitrations.
