Erin Rothfuss is a partner in the San Francisco office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She is a member of the firm's Real Estate Department.
Ms. Rothfuss represents a wide range of clients, including lenders, developers, opportunity funds, joint ventures and a variety of institutional and non-institutional investors, in all areas of real estate. Her experience includes advising clients in connection with acquisitions and dispositions, construction, securitized, mezzanine and permanent financings, conduit lending, exchanges, partnership and joint venture structuring, leasing and workouts, involving all types of commercial and residential real property, including development property, office buildings, hotels, resorts, shopping centers, multi-family projects and other commercial properties. Ms. Rothfuss also has significant experience with fund formation and private equity work.
Ms. Rothfuss was awarded the Outstanding Volunteer in Public Service Award in 2007 by the Volunteer Legal Services Program of the Bar Association of San Francisco for, among other things, her commitment to providing limited-scope legal representation to low-income individuals and families facing eviction.
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Ms. Rothfuss was an associate in the Real Estate Group of Simpson Thatcher & Bartlett. She received her law degree, cum laude, in 1996 from Harvard Law School, where she was a member of the Harvard Environmental Law Review and the Harvard International Law Journal. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, with high honors, in Economics and Anthropology from the University of California at Berkeley in 1993.
Ms. Rothfuss is admitted to practice in New York and California. She is currently the Hiring Partner for the San Francisco office, and is a member of Gibson Dunn's Diversity Committee.
