Benchmark Litigation recognized Gibson Dunn at its Benchmark US West awards ceremony with seven awards. Gibson Dunn was named the California National Firm of the Year and California Firm of the Year for both Antitrust and Labor & Employment. Additionally, Los Angeles partners Theane Evangelis and Dan Swanson were named, respectively, California Labor & Employment Litigation Attorney of the Year and California Antitrust Litigation Attorney of the Year. Finally, Trendsettah USA, Inc. v. Swisher International, Inc., in which Gibson Dunn represented Swisher International, and O’Connor v. Uber, in which Gibson Dunn represented Uber, were named Impact Cases. The awards were presented on March 5, 2020.
Theane Evangelis serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Class Actions Practice Group and as Vice Chair of the California Appellate Practice Group. She has played a lead role in a wide range of appellate, constitutional, media and entertainment, and crisis management matters, as well as a variety of employment, consumer and other class actions.
Dan Swanson is Co-Chair of the firm’s Antitrust and Competition Practice Group. His practice focuses on antitrust and competition law, including trial and appellate litigation, class actions, grand jury and civil investigations, merger review, regulatory and competition policy matters, and antitrust counseling.
