Based in any U.S. office, the Legal Technology Operations Assistant will provide operational support for the firm’s Practice Innovation + AI Department, ensuring proper access control for key technology platforms and maintaining vendor relationship data. This position offers an opportunity to learn about legal technology operations while managing critical administrative tasks that keep systems efficient, secure, and compliant. The role also includes responsibility for implementing new tracking solutions and overseeing the secure disposal of outdated data and records.

This role reports to the Practice Innovation Attorney.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and update access controls for products with limited licenses, ensuring compliance with license agreements.
  • Monitor license usage, track availability, and coordinate with stakeholders on changes or requests for additional licenses.
  • Maintain and regularly update the firm’s vendor relationship list, including product details, contract terms, and primary contacts.
  • Implement new tracking solutions for licenses, vendors, and other technology assets to improve monitoring and reporting.
  • Execute the implementation of secure and compliant data storage protocols, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Support provisioning activities and assist in onboarding new users to technology platforms.
  • Assist in tracking technology inventory and maintaining accurate records of tools, access rights, and vendor status.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for legal technology projects.
  • Assist with documentation, logs, and other project tracking activities.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and basic data management tools.
  • Demonstrated interest in technology, operations, and vendor management.
  • Ability and enthusiasm to learn new systems and tools quickly.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including IT and operations.

Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in legal technology or professional services environments.
  • Familiarity with vendor onboarding and procurement processes.
  • Prior experience in an administrative or operations support capacity preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $60,000-75,000. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
