Neel Lakhanpal is an associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He practices in the firm’s Litigation Department and maintains an active pro bono practice.

Neel received his J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of Annual Survey of American Law, as a judicial intern to the Honorable Jennifer L. Rochon of the Southern District of New York, and as an extern at the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. While at NYU, he was also Co-Chair of SALSA (South Asian Law Students Association) and Private Sector Professional Development Co-Chair of LaLSA (Latinx Law Students Association).

Prior to law school, Neel graduated summa cum laude from Middlebury College with a Bachelor of Arts in French & Francophone Studies. He speaks fluent Spanish and French, and conversational Italian.

Neel is admitted to practice in New York.
