Viraen Vaswani is an associate in the Singapore office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He is a member of the firm’s International Arbitration and Litigation Practice Groups.

Viraen advises clients on complex disputes and international arbitrations. He has broad experience across a number of sectors, including shareholder disputes, infrastructure, power, and oil and gas, as well as construction and engineering disputes. Viraen has acted as counsel in arbitrations under the rules of major arbitral institutions. He also has litigation experience in the English Courts.

Before joining Gibson Dunn, Viraen was an associate in the dispute resolution group of a leading U.S. law firm in London, where he represented high-profile clients in international arbitrations as well as commercial litigations.

Viraen received his Bachelor of Arts (Law) (First Class Honors) and Master of Arts from Gonville & Caius College, University of Cambridge in 2016 and 2021 respectively. He was awarded the Sir William McNair Prize for being his college’s top performing undergraduate, the W.M. Tapp Postgraduate Scholarship and Gonville & Caius Book Prize. He has also won several mooting competitions.

Viraen is admitted to practice in England & Wales. He is fluent in English, Malay and Indonesian.
