Gibson Dunn is one of five nominees shortlisted in the 2012 Best Regulatory Law Firm or Lawyer of the Year category for the Thomson Reuters Accelus 8th Annual Compliance Awards. The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) named Washington, D.C. partners Amy Goodman and John Olson to its 2012 NACD Directorship 100, a list of the “most influential people in the boardroom and corporate governance community.” The NACD Directorship 100 is determined based on a survey of NACD members, peer input from NACD chapters and review by an editorial advisory board. All honorees will be recognized at the sixth annual NACD Directorship 100 Forum on November 27, 2012 in New York City. The list will be published in the November/December 2012 issue of NACD Directorship magazine.

Asian Legal Business named the “HKT Trust Spin-off on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange” its Equity Market Deal of the Year at the seventh annual Hong Kong Law Awards. Michael Bopp has been named to Treasury and Risk Magazine’s list of the 100 Most Influential People in Finance, which includes global leaders and “lots of movers and shakers in Washington, reflecting the efforts there surrounding derivatives and money-market fund regulations, the Volcker Rule, convergence with international accounting standards, corporate tax reform and the federal deficit.” Bopp was recognized in the category of Rulemakers and Lobbyists for his “skillful leadership of the coalition of trade associations representing corporate end users of OTC derivatives,” which has allowed the group to “box above its weight in the debate about regulating such derivatives.” The list was published on June 18, 2012.
