Gibson Dunn Represented International Transportation Service on Slip Fill Project in Port of Long Beach

Gibson Dunn’s Project and Infrastructure team represented International Transportation Service, LLC, operator of the Piers G and J container terminal under a preferential assignment from the City of Long Beach, in connection with its $365 million Slip Fill Project to expand terminal capacity, under a construction contract with Griffith/Dutra Joint Venture, with financing provided in part under $424 million of new credit facilities provided by ING Capital LLC and other lenders.
The project development work was led by Toren Murphy, with Tomer Pinkusiewicz and Anita Girdhari leading the debt financing, on a team including Maria Fernanda Ojeda Hamui, Enrique Okhuysen, and Alejandra Castañeda; Mary Murphy and Sara Ghalandari advising on CEQA and related permitting matters; and Joseph West, Michael Murphy, and Taylor Amato advising on government contracting and environmental aspects, respectively.
