Based in any U.S. office, the Conflicts Training and Development Senior Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering training materials and programs that promote compliance, mitigate legal and operational risks, and uphold risk management standards within the Firm. This role represents a proactive investment in quality, consistency, and risk management. By reducing error rates, accelerating onboarding, and supporting critical system changes, the position delivers measurable operational efficiencies while safeguarding the Firm’s reputation for excellence in conflicts analysis and risk mitigation.
This role reports to the Director Conflicts Attorneys & Assistant General Counsel.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct ongoing needs assessments and effectively collaborate across the Firm to identify emerging risks and training gaps across the Conflicts and New Matters group.
- Design, develop and facilitate live and virtual risk-focused training programs for Conflicts staff members to ensure consistent practices across all offices and that training content reflects current Firm policies and professional conduct rules.
- Develop and maintain training plans and reference resources to drive effective onboarding and integration of new team members, remedial training of existing employees, and implementation of new programs and processes.
- Develop a standardized and centralized repository of all training, documentation and procedural resources to support effective integration, minimize rework and drive consistency.
- Continuously evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, audits, and assessments; update programs to address new regulations, system or process changes or other Firm requirements.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of Conflicts and New Matters staff compliance with training completion and subsequent implementation of procedures to ensure uniform application of Conflicts standards across all analysts, improving accuracy and defensibility of Conflicts analysis.
- Conduct ongoing quality reviews of analyst work, providing targeted feedback, retraining, and visibility into performance trends to ensure Conflicts searching and reporting consistently align with Firm policies, reducing the risk of errors, missed conflicts, and downstream reputational or regulatory exposure.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of legal ethics, conflicts and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication and technical skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree; JD or advanced degree preferred.
- A minimum of seven (7) years in legal risk management, compliance, or professional development within a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Experience developing training documentation and conducting training sessions required, prior experience supporting a large global team is preferred.
- High degree of proficiency with Intapp system including Conflicts and Intake.

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual compensation range for this position is $120- $140k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
