Based in any U.S. office, the Senior Manager, Practice Insights & Operations Transformation will be responsible for leading strategic business transformation initiatives that enhance practice management and operational excellence across the firm. Acting as an internal consultant and trusted advisor to the practice management team, this role will drive cross-functional and cross-office projects that deliver measurable improvements in performance, efficiency, and client service. A core focus of this role is leveraging strategic data analysis to identify opportunities, solve complex business challenges, and guide decision-making.

This role will collaborate with attorneys, practice managers, and internal stakeholders to align priorities with day-to-day operations, implement change initiatives, and assess their impact through data-driven insights and performance metrics. The role will join a growing team collectively responsible for supporting practice leaders in the management of their groups including Professional Development, Marketing & Client Development, Knowledge Management, Communications, Recruiting, Diversity, Career and Alumni Services, Technology, Human Resources, and Office Administration.

This role reports to the Chief Legal Operations Officer.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with practice management leadership and internal stakeholders to solve business challenges, refine organizational processes, and advance the strategic and operational priorities.
  • Partner with practice management to lead transformation initiatives from strategy through execution.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Legal Operations Officer and firm leadership to define, develop, and drive the transformation roadmap—ensuring clear objectives, milestones, and outcomes that align change efforts with strategic goals and competitive positioning.
  • Support the Chief Legal Operations Officer and practice management leadership in optimizing organizational structures, resource allocation, and efforts to modernize business and legal operations and processes.
  • Design and implement frameworks to track performance and measure the impact of transformation initiatives.
  • Support practice leaders in annual strategic planning and special projects related to operations.
  • Conduct analysis to identify growth opportunities and anticipate potential risks, providing actionable insights to firm and practice leaders.
  • Partner with practice managers to implement strategic initiatives and support the execution of change management priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the Chief Legal Operations Officer, ensuring alignment across priorities and providing insights to help inform decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with practice leaders, attorneys, and other internal stakeholders to promote cross-functional and cross-office collaboration.
  • Serve as a central point of coordination for key initiatives, facilitating the successful adoption of new processes and cultural changes across the firm.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of business and legal operations.
  •  Monitor industry trends and continuously build knowledge of the broader legal market to inform transformation roadmaps and deliver insights that keep the firm aligned with evolving client and market demands.

  • Ability to work independently to solve problems relating to both technical issues and situations involving the coordination of, and collaboration with, attorneys, non-attorney staff and various administrative departments.

Experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience at a law firm and/ or professional services organization in similar role.
  • Proven track record in project management, practice management, business development, or legal operations.
  •  MBA, or equivalent preferred; bachelor’s degree required.

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $185-225k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
