BIOGRAPHY

Blake Lanning is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP.  He is a member of the Labor and Employment and Administrative Law and Regulatory practice groups.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Mr. Lanning worked on administrative law and labor and employment matters while serving as a Special Assistant to Secretary of Labor Eugene Scalia.  Mr. Lanning has also served as a law clerk to Judge Stanley Marcus of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and as Counsel to Senator Mike Lee on the Senate Judiciary Committee.

He earned his B.A. with Highest Distinction from Indiana University and his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he served as an editor of the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy and from which he graduated magna cum laude.
