Emily Black is an associate in the San Francisco office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She has experience in a wide range of civil and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on labor and employment disputes.
Emily has represented corporate clients in complex class actions and individual actions in state and federal courts throughout the country, including cases alleging wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and discrimination. She has participated in pre-litigation EEOC matters and shepherded clients through successful mediations. In addition, Emily has represented clients in regulatory investigations, including those conducted by the DOJ, SEC, and state law enforcement agencies, achieving favorable resolution of inquiries on behalf of technology companies and financial institutions.
Emily earned her Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Chicago Law School. She is admitted to practice in New York and California.
